IQ 1955

On 28, May 2012 | No Comments | In Mind | By Prlwytzkofsky

I was lucky to stumble upon a famous psychologists tool in a garage sale: an original 1955 first edition of the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS), one of the first official IQ tests!

It of course supposes to measure someone’s intelligence, boiled down to just a few (well, just three, really) numbers (Verbal IQ, Performance IQ, and Full Scale IQ). As can be seen below the first version is very much the same test as used today (never mind the Flynn effect).
